Audrina Patridge didn't sure what to anticipate from The Hills in 2006.After six intense seasons on the MTV reality programme, she didn't sure what to do.Feeling "lost," the 37-year-old said on E! News' Daily Pop, "I moved to the beach."

I had to leave L.A. to reconnect with myself and decide what I wanted.Off-screen reality included acting, modelling, hosting, marriage, divorce, and motherhood to Kirra, now 8. All of this was documented by careful observers, but Patridge says you weren't getting the complete picture until now.

"I went there," she says of her latest memoir, Choices: To the Hills and Back Again. "Totally."Patridge termed authoring the book "liberating" and "therapeutic""Your life basically boils down to the decisions you make," she told E! in November.

I wanted it to be encouraging and informative, while also delivering juicy inside dirt about The Hills, Hollywood in the 2000s, and my relationships. While her future chapter isn't written, her history is.

Was The Hills real? Patridge said both. The programme wasn't scripted (though the voiceovers were), but encounters were set up, such as sending her and Heidi on a tense or emotional coffee date if they were having troubles.

Audrina's connection with Kristin lasted, but not with Lauren. Audrina wrote that L.C. was "controlling" and wanted Audrina to "obey" her. She didn't appreciate how Lauren claimed not to like Audrina's boyfriend "Justin Bobby" Brescia, but she was great with him off-camera—and then there was the hookup-in-Vegas story (which Lauren flatly denied back in 2008). Audrina said their agency presented chances with Lauren.

Audrina said she and Lauren just met at Disneyland with their kids. After a few minutes, the water stayed under the bridge.E! hasn't heard from Lauren's reps.

Audrina and her co-stars were shocked when Justin Timberlake told MTV to "play more damn videos, we don't want to see the Simpsons on reality TV" during the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.Audrina frequented '00s hot spot Hyde.

Kevin Connolly tried to woo her, but she wasn't interested; Leonardo DiCaprio did better. The eventual Oscar winner acquired Audrina's number in Las Vegas. She recalls chatting with him, but going out was impossible since he was super-private (those boat shots are taken from far away) and her paparazzi escort at the time didn't fit.

She experienced a similar lifestyle clash with Chris Pine, whom she met in Vegas while filming 2009's Sorority Row. He was an introvert and she had cameras following her everywhere. She said that she and the Actor Trek star "truly loved one other" and "spoke and remained in touch" after the show finished.
