The defence responded to the offense's big plays and running room with pass rush proficiency, airtight coverage, and little running room.Jaelan Phillips had two or three sacks. His various pressure points were impressive.

Phillips has demonstrated development in his second training camp with speed, power, and secondary efforts.Christian Wilkins played backfield. He and Zach Sieler showed extraordinary grip strength to engage their guy and slingshot the QB.

Sam Eguavoen sacked from linebacker. Emmanuel Ogbah's drive got him into the backfield. Both players made runs that helped the defence.Though the defence won, the offence made several crucial chunk plays and a home run, including my favourite play of camp so far.

The defenders applied pressure, and Tagovailoa passed downfield. River Cracraft intercepted the ball 30 yards out and scored 52 yards.Quarterbacks Coach Darrell Bevell remarked, "I'm happy."
