A follower's tweet said as follows: "I'd want someone to conduct a deep-drive on the parallels and contrasts between the careers of Keke Palmer and Zendaya. This may very well be one of the most egregious demonstrations of colorism that Hollywood has ever produced.

They both became famous as children, but their appeal with the general public was much different. "A wonderful example of colorism is to assume I can be compared to anybody," the "Nope" star, who co-hosted "Strahan, Sara, and Keke" on "Good Morning America" between 2019 and2020, said in a post that she did not explicitly respond to.

She said that, "At a young age, as a youngster [in the] entertainment industry, your feelings are always the last thing that people care about.""I believe that you fall extremely rapidly into being a people-pleaser and trying to be everything that everybody wants you to be. I think that this happens really quickly. Because of this, I believe that a significant portion of the time, you wind up being misinterpreted.
